Monochrome

Black and White photograph is one of my favorite. I remembered when I took the class back in college days, I really love spending time in the darkroom to develop my film and printing it with the enlarger. Printing the film in the dark by exposing a blank photo paper with a light and washing it in the photo chemical and to see the image slowly appears until it become an image for me it is magical :)
Nowadays, we use CMOS and memory card to store the image we took by the digital camera. We don't need to process the film and go to the darkroom, we use the digital darkroom instead.
I miss the hassle and the trouble I used to do to get a good photo, but digital is good, faster, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.

This is one of my favorite beach in Bali, you can feel relax and peaceful just by standing there.

Recently, I got the chance to shoot a prewedding session in Bidadari. The last time I came to this island was Yuki preweding session, you can see the pictures of that session in my previous post. The island is still one of the favorite prewedding outdoor photo session for Jakarta couples. The close distance from Jakarta might be the first reason for its popularity. We were looking for a nature look, beach and susnset. Unfortunately, that day we didn't lucky enough for the sunset.

Fifi & Henri

Fifi is very natural in front of the camera, it was very fun to work with this couple. She even made a storyboard for the photo sessions. She came prepared for the photo session and she knew what she wanted. This photos were taken couple years back, so you can see how my photography evolved from then till now :) The photo sessions was taken in Kota Tua (Old Batavia), Jakarta. The outdoor prewedding photography and on location photography is a very nice way to freeze your moment and make it last forever in the form of photographs.

Yuki & Eveleen

Yuki and Eveleen is one of my favorite couple. They are so in love with each other, I can feel the romance and chemistry while I were taking their pictures. Yuki is one of the most romantic guy I ever know, he is very detail in preparing his marriage. Everything must be perfect and just right :) He is maybe the only groom in Jakarta who drives his own mini cooper on his wedding day. He even decorated it with a floral cutting sticker:)
We took this prewedding pictures in several locations, Kota Tua, Dufan, Shanghai Storm & P. Bidadari. It rained very hard at P. Bidadari, we almost didn't get any shots because of the heavy rains. Luckily, the rain stopped around 4 p.m so we still have time to take several shots and it came out beautifully. What a blast!

This pictures are taken long before I set up this blog, I put this online just before their twins 1st birthday. Yup, they have twins son.
I will shoots their birthday party soon, ha ha ha.
